The International Journal of Life Sciences and Applied Sciences employs a single-blind peer review process to ensure the scientific integrity, quality, and originality of the manuscripts it publishes. In this system, the identities of the reviewers are kept confidential and are not disclosed to the authors, whereas the reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities. This approach allows reviewers to provide objective and critical evaluations while considering the authors’ research background and scientific contributions.
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes a preliminary assessment by the editorial office to verify compliance with the journal’s scope, format, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then assigned to an editor from the Editorial Board, who oversees the review process. The editor selects two expert reviewers from a qualified and periodically updated pool of reviewers, curated on the basis of their academic merit, research expertise, publication record, and professional experience in relevant fields.
The reviewers critically assess the manuscript for scientific rigor, methodological soundness, novelty, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Their comments and recommendations are communicated to the handling editor, who synthesizes the feedback and makes an editorial decision—acceptance, revision, or rejection—based on the scientific merit of the work and the reviewers’ evaluations.
This process ensures that all published articles in the International Journal of Life Sciences and Applied Sciences maintain high academic standards and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of life and applied sciences.
